Acceptable Use

Effective August 30, 2026

Use Unbound only for lawful work that you are authorized to perform.

Prohibited use

You may not use Unbound to:

  • Access accounts, devices, systems, or data without permission.
  • Steal, expose, trade, or misuse credentials, secrets, or personal information.
  • Create, deploy, or distribute malware or interfere with systems or networks.
  • Evade access controls, rate limits, safety protections, or service restrictions.
  • Send unlawful spam, run a deceptive campaign, impersonate someone, or commit fraud.
  • Harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, discriminate against, or help harm another person.
  • Violate privacy, intellectual property, employment, consumer protection, or other legal rights.
  • Make safety-critical or high-impact decisions about people without legally required safeguards and meaningful human review.
  • Use connected services beyond the permissions granted to you or in violation of their terms.
  • Conceal responsibility for automated actions or present generated work as independently verified when it is not.

Responsible automation

Give each bot only the permissions its task requires. Supervise actions that could have serious consequences, protect credentials, and keep a way to stop the work or revoke access. Test an automation in a controlled environment before it can affect people, production systems, money, or sensitive data.

Project-controlled resources

We do not monitor local or self-hosted deployments. We may restrict access to websites or repositories we control if their use violates this policy or creates a security or legal risk.
